Cisco raises bid for Tandberg to $3.4 billion

According to latest news, Cisco systems Inc has raised its bid from $ 3 billion to $ 3.4 billion for Norway’s Tandberg ASA (World’s largest video conferencing equipment provider); Cisco system is world’s largest maker of computer networking equipment having revenue of about $ 36.10 billion in year 2009; list of some popular products consists of routers, DSL and long reach Ethernet equipment, Cisco security manager, Cisco watches etc.

According to news reports Tandberg shares rose 3.5 percent to close at 163.20 Norwegian kroner in Oslo and Cisco shares rose 28 cents, or 1.2 percent, to $23.99 in Monday trading.

Guys just completed a project based on Enterprise Service Bus. Here is a small report of what I did.

Project Title: “Resource Management”

Technologies: JavaEE, Enterprise Java Beans (EJB 3.0), Java Messaging Service (JMS), Oracle Toplink Framework, XML, SOAP, Web Services, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Asp .Net 3.0, Java Scripts, AJAX.

Tools: Netbeans 6.0, WSO2 ESB Carbon 2.1, My Sql Essential 5.1, Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008.

Overview: The main purpose of the project was to automatically manage various Bookings/Requests of College Resources for organizing various events at a specific Date and Time Slot. The requests can be made by various college Departments. The Requests are assigned Priorities which are used in the algorithms while accepting or rejecting the requests. An Administrator has full control over these requests. Guest or Students can just View these events.
